Obituary of Robert G. Foley

Robert G. Foley Jr., age 82 of Wallingford, passed away on January 11, 2020. A lifelong lover of railways, aviation, and ships, Bob, an Air Force Reserves Veteran, was actively involved in and served on the boards of numerous organizations. Including the Illinois Railway Museum, Project Liberty Ship, and the Steamship Historical Society of America. Bob was also an active member of Wallingford Presbyterian Church, serving on several councils. Bob will be missed by all for his amiable personality, humor, and his devotion to his friends and family. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Marguerite Foley, and brother James Foley. He is survived by his daughter Gillian (Trisha Stryjewski), loving partner Mary Payne, dear sister Peggy (Ken) Germain, and grandchildren Miriam, Eamonn, and Beckett Glynn. Memorial Service Has Been Postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date Burial will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Andrew's Society of Philadelphia Scholarship Fund, or Project Liberty Ship - John W. Brown.
