Cremation Security
Our 10 Step Plan to Know You are Secure
We understand that those who choose cremation might have concerns about the process and procedures of cremation. Our 10 step cremation process guarantees that your loved one never leaves our care and that the cremated remains returned to you are those of your loved one.
1 - Your loved one never leaves our care - One of our staff members and a licensed funeral director will accompany your loved one to our On Site Crematory at the funeral home.
2 - Safeguarding personal identity - To ensure security, a personal identification band is placed on your loved one at the moment they are transferred into our care.
3 - Unique tracking system - Upon arrival at our On Site Crematory, your loved one is assigned an identification number which is stamped onto a metal identification tag. This number is used for tracking throughout every phase of the cremation process.
4 - Family identification - Our staff will bathe and dress your loved one for positive identification prior to cremation.
5 - Checks and balances - Two licensed funeral directors from the funeral home will review all cremation paperwork and permits. This will ensure that all proper documents are in order. Once verified, both licensed funeral directors sign the cremation checklist prior to the cremation.
6 - Cremation log book - Your loved one's personal identification number is placed into our log book and upon completion of the cremation; the log is completed with date/time and crematory operator information.
7 - Details during the cremation - The crematory checklist, identification card and metal identification tag are placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process.
8 - Details after the cremation - After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are placed with the metal identification tag into an urn. The identification card is placed into our permanent files.
9 - Return of the cremated remains - A funeral director on staff will notify you to schedule a time for receipt of the cremated remains. At this time we will provide a dignified setting in which to receive the urn, where you may spend a few moments, privately, in quiet reflection.
10 - Celebration of Life - We will assist in planning a memorial service, either before or after the cremation, which will appropriately celebrate the life of your loved one. A meaningful ceremony provides an opportunity for family and friends to pay tribute to your loved one and to share the memories of a lifetime.
