Please share a memory of Gerard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
"Buster" (Gerard) J. Timlin, Jr, age 53 of Norwood, formerly of Collingdale, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019. Buster was known for many things. He worked at many bars across Delaware County including his first job at the Old Sproul Tavern, Brennan's Bar, and the Anice that later became Thomas' and then TJ Brewskies, and he cofounded The Buc Tavern. He was more than someone who gave drinks though; when you walked into the bar for the first time Buster would greet you like an old friend. He was a story teller, and had enough stories to tell to fill many books, and would often leave people laughing so hard that they would be in tears. He was also well known for his passion for food; he founded Busters' Catering Service and continued to serve up critically acclaimed food out of The Buc. Buster was best known as a friend. If he could help someone he would, not for acclaim or for money, but because it was the right thing to do. He had a big heart and his loss will be long felt by the many people whose lives he has touched. He left his fingerprints on our souls, his laughter on our hearts, and the phrase, "You got it" in our ears. Busters' son Toby wants to immortalize him and his stories forever and is putting together a book of his stories.
