I grew up around the corner from Buster. We were one grade apart in school. Although we have the same last name we were not related. Although somewhere down the line I'm sure we were somehow.
But Buster always felt like a relative. We didn't hang out all the time growing up, but it was always great when we did. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met.
It has probably been about 30 years since I've seen Buster. The last time was 1989 at my 10 year St. Joe's reunion. A few of us went back to Uncle Snazzy's and Buster was behind the bar.
That's the kind of person Buster was. Thirty years after talking to him for the last time I can still remember exactly when it was. That doesn't happen often.
Buster, it's my loss that it was 30 years since the last we last spoke but you will be missed by me and everyone who knew you.
As we always greeted each other when whenever I saw you...Hey Timlin! RIP Buster.

If this isn’t the best pic of Buster ever, then I don’t know what is! He took care of me for an entire year in 2015 after my gastric surgery -he’d make me scrambled eggs and soft boiled potatoes and visited while I sat there drinking water and arguing politics with the locals. I was just down in Holmes at Walt’s on Monday and wanted to stop in after their meeting; and then saw as soon as I sat down that he was gone. I’m so sorry I missed him. So much agape. Thinking of you </3 #RIP Mr. “You Got It”
