Obituary of George T. Orr

George Orr, 90, of Sharon Hill went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 19. George was born in Darby and after High School enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II with the 30th Infantry Division. George worked for Acme Markets for 53 years, and was the Scoutmaster of Troop 107 in Sharon Hill for over twenty years. He also was the past President of the Kiwanis Club of Chester Pike and a member of the Sharon Hill Library Board. George is survived by his wife of sixty years, Joan and his sons, Bill (Kathy), Tom (Lana) his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His life celebration will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 11:00AM at the McCausland-Garrity-Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 South Chester Pike, Glenolden, Pa 19036 where friends may call from 9:30AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in George's honor to Honor Flight, 7 Windsor Circle, Springfield, Pa 19064.
