George Orr, or “Mr. Orr” as I knew him, was my Scoutmaster in Troop 107 for many years. He served in that role guiding me and many other boys through the program with all of them better for the experience, and many of them becoming Eagle Scouts. He selflessly devoted his time and effort to the Troop, always heading up the meetings and being present on our camping trips and summer camps. He and the other leaders gave guidance in scouting, career objectives, served as role models, and shared their experiences and wisdom. George Orr was a fine example of a Boy Scout leader responsible for helping and guiding me and my fellow scouts accordance with the values in the Scout Oath and Law.
