John & I are so incredibly sad to have to say goodbye to such a wonderful and loving lady. Jenny, Jason, Jimmy and the entire Faust/Ellis family, we will never forget your Mom’s spirit for life. We have made a donation in her honor to Fox Chase Cancer Center. Hope it helps with research for a cure. We love you!

" A Hero's Welcome"
Time to come home dear friend
Your tour of duty through
You've given as much as anyone
Could be expected to do
Just a few steps further
The smoke will start to clear
Others here will guide you
You have no need of fear
You have not failed your brothers and sisters
You clearly gave it all
And through your selfless actions
Others will hear the call
So that your place of honor
Among those who have gone before
And know you will be remembered
For now and evermore

I remember Mary and Michelle gave Scott Childs a lap dance at prospect fire house, we were there for a benefit and it was his birthday. It was so funny because he was so shocked at first. This is my best most favorite memory of Mary, we all went on a booze cruise and Mary wore kids pool arm floaties the entire time she was so scared. It was great, i laughed so hard. Mary will always be remembered for the caring funny person she was. R.I.P. Mary. love Andrea Childs

And this is why I didn't get a reply to my facebook private message. Rest in peace Mary. You fought a gallant battle. My mother loved you when you'd be on the call at 2 a.m. in the morning with the ambulance. I'm so sorry for your family.

Mary was a funny, caring, giving, generous lady. I first meet Mary when she was a para medic at Fitz.
She always had a smile and hello for every senior citizen who came to the Friendship center on the floor below the paramedics. If they didn’t have a smile when they arrived, Mary always gave them a smile, hello and a reason to be happy.
At the end of my day at the center, I looked for Mary on the steps outside and always felt better just seeing her smile.
Rest In Peace my friend.
Dixie
