Obituary of Patricia H. Mormando

Patricia H. Mormando "Pat", age 79 of Folcroft, passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a long illness, on November 11, 2020 at home. While Pat often teased that "she didn't like kids," she was a long-time cafeteria aide at many local schools. She connected with the kids who lovingly "gave her a hard time" but also gave her prom and graduation pictures and asked her to sign their yearbooks. It was difficult for her to end her time with them. Pat loved to cook for her friends. She carried on the tradition of a big Sunday dinner with her "Golden Girls" friends, Marlene and Eleanor. She was also sure to bring some kind of treat to her favorite doctor, Dr. John Sprandio, on her treatment days. She was always looking out for those close to her. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Mormando, daughter Stephanie Harrington, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors: Loving mother of Lena and lovingly supported by Joe's children, Sandy (Junior) Oliva and John Mormando, cherished grandmother of Meredith and TJ Siegler, dear sister of Dorothy, Elinor, and Peter, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and her beloved Kitty. Funeral Mass: 11AM on Tuesday, November 17, at St. Gabriel's Church, 233 Mohawk Ave, Norwood PA. Viewing: 10-11AM on Tuesday at Church. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
