Dear Aunt Pat:
I am sorry I couldn’t be physically there for you tomorrow at mass. I know that being together in faith is very important to you. It is our faith that shepherds us in life and lead us to eternal life. Core to our faith is family. We are family in faith and in love. Through the years we had our share of loss and tragedy. But we are luckier than most because we have the wealth of family to celebrate. In more recent years, we have had more opportunity to visit our Philly family. Each visit was memorable, some things we shared were The Fadgen Family picnic, binge watching Jeff Dunham on a Saturday, sharing stuffed cabbage, 95 year Uncle Joe standing in the middle of the Folcroft Diner parking lot waving off other customers with his cane so that the Javorsky clan could get and dine with him. Our journey back to Pittsburgh each time was spent reminiscing about our Philly family wishing that ‘summer would never end’. First, we would share a chuckle that Uncle Joe had to lead us in his car to I-95. And each time we left to trek back to Pittsburgh, it was hard to leave just like it is difficult to part now. Though while we grieve, we also can celebrate. We celebrate the gift of our family and the faith that binds us together. Aunt Pat, when you get to the pearly gates, say hi to everyone (assuming they all got there too).
And as Winnie the Pooh said, “If ever there comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”
Forever in faith, forever in family, Forever in our hearts.
Love Kathy

I worked with Pat for many years we had our ups and downs but she always made me laugh at her stories she would tell. I will miss her.

I was saddened to hear the news of Patty's passing after her valiant fight. I will always remember her as a joyous spirit with a heart of gold. She will be dearly missed. My condolences and that of my wife, Sharon, to Lena and all of her close family members and friends.
