Uncle Don, thank you for being such a vital part of my life, and a wonderful influence in my life. Miss you, but so thankful you are home in Heaven at peace. I will miss my back seat pew buddy at Aldan Union Church. I will miss your smile. You were always concerned about my safety, especially when I went on day trips into Phillyor elsewhere. Your smile lit up the room. I especially remember the Sunday, I stopped by to drop off the church bulletin. Aunt Cass and I were in the kitchen having tea and talking. You were in the family room, listening to your hymns and singing, praising the Lord, even in the midst of fighting leukemia. What a blessing that was to hear your wonderful voice praising the Lord even during your trials.That memory showed me the strength and faith you have in our God. Thank you for that example, and that beautiful memory that brings a smile to my face. Thank you for being there for me. To our wonderful family. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Let's stand firm in Christ through this difficult journey of saying goodbye for now, and realize that because of Christ's redemption, and our relationship with Him, we will someday be greated by Uncle Don in Heaven and see that precious smile again.
