Obituary of Marcellus K.M. Slocumb

Marcellus K.M. Slocumb , transitioned into the arms of angels on February 27, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Although his life was brief, it was beautiful. Marcellus came into the world on December 18th, 2019, and spent his just over two months on earth making his parents smile. For being so small, he touched so many lives and taught so many lessons. He taught endurance, unity, courage, patience, selflessness, strength, and ultimately LOVE. A young warrior, Marcellus was stubborn in his own little special way and fought till the very end. He brought his family so much love, and was a precious gift to this world, and a blessing to so many. He is reunited in the arms of his heavenly great grandmother Shirley Slocumb. He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly, including his adoring parents Monay Green and Samir Slocumb, cherished grandparents Kessa Baylor and Kevin and Wanda Slocumb, loving aunts Allana Green, Shayna, Sharelle, Shaquanna, Sharnae, and Zhara Slocumb, uncles Elijah Green, Loren Way, and Shane Slocumb, cousins Saeed Slocumb and Milani Love, great grandparents Russell and Anita Baylor, great aunts Tiffany and Paris Baylor, and great uncle Calvin Jones, as well as many other family members and friends who cherished his beautiful life. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 3:30-4pm on Friday March 6th at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA 19036. A prayer service will follow at 4pm on Friday March 6th at the funeral home. The family asks that everyone in attendance preferably wear white to the services for Marcellus, please no Black or Red.
