Cathy and family,
I just learned of Frank’s passing. We were close working colleagues at ESB. A good friend, a good man. I’m sure the Lord has a special place for him. My condolences to you. God bless.

When I first met Franklin, he was Mr. Koch, Sunday School Teacher. I knew him as Mr. Koch, Softball player and coach. Next was fellow Church Officer, followed by fellow choir member, Somehow morphing into my friend, Franklin.
Throughout his life, I knew him as a steadfast leader, devoted husband and father, a dedicated public servant and honest Christian man He was an example of strength, honor and courage one would only hope to know, He was a caring friend to the end, especially after the loss of my father. I know you are already looking to field a team up there.
This world has lost another hero, who will be missed by many, I especially will miss my friend, Franklin.

Since I got the news about Franklin my words have gotten confused and the world has grown darker. So bear with me as I offer my thoughts about someone I admired and loved.
Respect, honor, integrity - a lot of people use these words. Franklin didn’t use them - he embodied them. He lived a life of service to his country, his church, his family, and his friends. Generosity was a core principle for him. And he lived with the certainty that he was loved unconditionally by God. Grace was his.
I had the privilege of knowing him as a pastor and friend. I am a better person for having had Franklin in my life and ministry.
My sincere condolences to Cathy and the Koch family in the midst of this great loss. “He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith.” Thanks be to God for his life and service. May his memory be a blessing. My heart is with you.
Love,
Cindy Ray
