Obituary of Louise M. Almond

Louise M. Almond, age 95, of Folcroft, died on April 29, 2011 at the Broomall Presbyterian Village. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Almond lived in Folcroft since 1951. She was an active member of the Folcroft Union Church where she was involved with the OASIS Senior Citizens Group and the Women's Bible Study Group. As the oldest living member of the church Mrs. Almond was loved by all she came in contact with due to her kind and gentle spirit and faithful prayer ministry. For many years she was also the appointed driver for various activities and doctor visits for other seniors. Mrs. Almond was an avid bowler who was part of a local bowling league until she was 90 years old. She previously worked with Prudential Insurance Company. She was the wife of the late Charles Henry Almond, Jr. who died in July 1970. Survivors: Son Charles Harvey (Prue)Almond of Victoria, Australia. Also survived by her grandchildren Charles Harvey Almond, Jr. and Jonathan Alexander Almond and Great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Jack, Matthew, Chris and Kirsty Almond.
