Obituary of John C. Tobin

John C Tobin, age 65 of Folcroft, passed away on September 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. A passionate musician, John was a devoted Tenor in the St. George Choir (Under the Guidance of the Holy Spirit) Church. He played lead guitar in many bands, including Free Stream, Perpetual Motion, 6T Proof, BandAnna, Rock Hall, and Just Friends. John was also an avid Phillies Fan. He is predeceased by his parents John and Ruth (nee Boyd) Tobin, as well as his wife Jo Ellen (nee Carpenter) Tobin. Survivors: Loving husband of Sheila (nee Wade) Tobin, devoted father of Lucas Boyd Tobin, cherished brother of Marguerite "Peg" (Frank) Donohue, Joan (Doug) Weeks, Michael (Karen) Tobin, Frances Tobin, Catherine "Kitti" (Raymond) Steiner, and Ruth (Thomas) Hudzina, dear stepfather of James (Marcy) McGarvey, Matthew (Janine) McGarvey and Thomas (Megan) McGarvey, loving grandfather of Bridget Heeney, Danny McGarvey, and Maggie McGarvey and many nieces, nephews, family members, and supportive Facebook friends. Funeral Mass: 10AM on Monday, Sept 17 at St. George Church, Lamont Ave., Glenolden, with burial to follow at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
