I served with Mary in the Army Reserve at Willow Grove Air Force base during the early 80's. I remember one year during our two-week active duty that Mary received an Award, the exact name long forgotten by me, but it was an award to the best unit director.
Only one award was give for the whole encampment and Mary received it because she was effective supervisor and a dedicated worker who took hen responsibilities seriously. AND I never heard a bad word spoken about her. She was exception women and I only have complimentary things to say about her.
I would like to attend memorial mass but will be away during that time.
