Obituary of William H. Furman

William H. Furman "Bill" age 88 a longtime resident of Collingdale passed away on June 12, 2018 surrounded by his family. A Korean War Combat Army Veteran, Bill was a member of American Legion Post # 507, Norwood, PA and a member of the VFW in Collingdale. He retired in 1995 from Amoroso Bakery and was the former owner of Collingdale Trophy and Awards. He was a one of the founders and 1st President of the Collingdale Athletic Club. Bill enjoyed the Philadelphia sports teams and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Furman and his sister Edna Hallock. Survivors: Beloved husband of 65 years of Mary Ann Furman, loving father of Mary Ann (Nick) Cresta and Bill (Mary) Furman, cherished grandfather of Billy, Nick, Mike, Chris and Julia( Matt), great grandfather of Lennox and Annika and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service:10am Sat at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. ChesterPike Glenolden, PA. 19036 Visitation: 6-8pm Friday and 9-10am on Sat at the funeral home.
