Obituary of Judith E Holmes

Judith E. Holmes "Judy", age 74, of Glenolden passed away on November 19, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Darby, Judy graduated from Darby High School, class of 1960. After high school, Judy worked at General Electric and Conrail for over 22 years before attending Widener University, graduating in 1995 from the School of Nursing. She worked for several nursing homes throughout Delaware County. A dedicated parishioner of St George Church, she served as Liturgical Reader and was a teacher for the Prep Program(CCD) . She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Holmes, her brother, Robert Holmes, and her grandmother (Nanny) Jennie Reynolds. Survivors: Loving mother of Catherine Ann (Christian) Spahr, Rebecca Ann (Brian) Hoch, Kimberly Ann (Christopher) Goss and Edward J. (Kristi) Rambo, Cherished Grandmother of 10 and Great Grandmother of 4, dear sister of John F. (Marianne) Holmes. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, 10AM at St George Church, Lamont Ave. Glenolden, PA. 19036 Viewing: Wednesday, 8:45-9:45AM at the church.
