He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.
I'll love you forever, Dad!

Bingaman Girls:
I have many wonderful memories of my favorite uncle. From summer vacations at the Laurel Lake house, with no indoor plumbing but many mosquitoes, to Crystal Beach along the Chesapeake Bay we looked forward to summer vacations spent with our Bingaman cousins. Uncle Barney would bring many inner tubes for us to use in the lake and beach which he got from his family's garage in Folcroft. Later years were spent playing board games and cards with Uncle Barney always the diligent scorekeeper. No one ever had to double check his math as his mind was always sharp as a tack. I will miss him a lot but will have wonderful family memories to cherish forever. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the family of Mr. Bingaman. May the God of comfort grant the family peace at this sad time. The Bible gives us hope in that one day soon God will end suffering for all mankind. ( Psalms 37:9-11)

This is the second Veteran of World War Two who I have known that has passed in the last month. The similarities are striking. They served their country and their community. They worked hard and raised their children who have gone on to take their places as responsible members of society. They have been blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides being good fathers, they were good husbands. After loving their wives all their lives, they could be found faithfully stationed at their partner’s bedside during those difficult last days.
I am sure that, in accordance with his beliefs, Barney is now “In the Garden” with Dorothy and free of the burdens on this side of the veil.
A wonderful story and legacy of a great guy from that “Greatest Generation”.
