Obituary of Anna R. Ward

Anna R. Ward, age 94, of Glenolden, passed away on April 21, 2017. Anna was a devoted member of the St. George Parish Community for over 60 years. She had numerous friends and enjoyed activities at Senior Groups throughout Delaware County. She was an avid Philly sports fan, enjoying the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers as well as all the Big Five teams. Anna and her husband enjoyed dancing. They also traveled throughout the U.S., Europe and to the country of Japan. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph P. Ward and her son Michael Ward as well as her brothers Bill and Marty and her sisters, Frannie and Cassie. Survivors: Loving mother of Joseph P. (Dana) Jr., John (Dorothy), Gerry (Betsy), Nancy (Mike) Kredel, Paul (Sharon) and Bernie (Marie). Anna was the cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 7. She was also the dear sister of Sr. Anne William SSJ, Mary Dougherty, Dorothy Scanlan, Joseph Fagan (Jan), Paul Fagan (Barbara), and Mary Theresa Fagan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: 11am Thursday at S.
