Obituary of John A. Raimo

John A. Raimo, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 26. Born in Philadelphia, he was a longtime resident of Glenolden and a former Glenolden Councilman. Mr. Raimo was an artist whose media included wood, stone, metal and stained glass. He was an active member of the School House Senior Center in Folsom where he served on the Board of Directors. A WWII Veteran, he retired from Wyeth Laboratories in Radnor in 1984. Mr. Raimo was an active member of American Legion Post 566 Murray Stuart, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus De LaSalle Council 590 and Our Lady of Fatima Church. He dedicated 45 years to visiting the war wounded in VA hospitals and he delivered Meals on Wheels. Survivors: wife, Ruth V. Raimo, artist. Daughters: Arlette Liberatore, Bernadette Yellin and Ruth Savage. 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by 7th grandchild, Neil.
