Obituary of Elizabeth Mullan

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth "Betty" Mullan age 87 a longtime resident of Sharon Hill passed away on November 7, 2016 surrounded by her family at Vitas Hospice at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. Betty's trademark smile, quick laughter and comforting words were indicative of her kind and generous spirit; an advocate for all people, only seeing the best that each had to offer. This was her gift, personified in her most recent 'role' as Ambassador for Leo's Steak Shop, the family business that was founded by her sons some 40 years ago, and continues to thrive today. The customers sure loved to be greeted by Betty. Betty was an elegant woman, always impeccably dressed, bejeweled like a queen, and would quickly remind you that she modeled herself after her namesake and idol, 'Elizabeth' Taylor. Betty loved music, especially Elvis, and dancing (which she taught in her earlier years), and was always at the center of the party. She was never hard to find, just listen for the whooping and hollering, and there you'd find Betty, at the center of the fun, just making people feel good about themselves. She is predeceased by her husband Leo V. Mullan Sr., her sons Leo V. Mullan Jr., William Mullan Sr. and Jack Mullan, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Survivors: Loving mother of Marie(Lee) Marcovitz, Steven (Kimberly) Mullan and Eleanor (Gregory) Pearse, cherished grandmother of 13, great grandmother of 14 and great great grandmother of 5, dear sister of Dolores Edwards.
