William A. Kilpatrick III age 78 of Newport DE, formerly of Woodlyn PA., passed away on November 5, 2016. A dedicated volunteer, Bill was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, United States Air Force, a Lifetime Member of Woodlyn Fire Company and Minquas Fire Company in Newport, Delaware where he was also part of Delaware Fire Police for over 20 years. He retired From the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and formerly worked at Westinghouse. He loved music, singing, trips to the Poconos and animals. He is predeceased by his parents William and Lola Kilpatrick, his wife Cheryl Kilpatrick, sister Barbara Strickler and brother Bobby Kilpatrick. Survivors: Loving father of Robin(Charles) Lavin, Sherry (Kevin) Barrett, Linda Kilpatrick, Dana Kilpatrick and Jessie Kilpatrick, cherished grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 13, dear brother of Lola Peet and Linda DeRosa. Viewing: Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday 10:30-11:30am at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 followed by a time of sharing thoughts and memories. Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA.
