Obituary of James E. Baker

James E. Baker age 88 a longtime resident of Glenolden passed away on October 28, 2016. Born in Glenolden, Jim lived in Georgetown, DE as a child. He retired after 26 years as a proud U.S Navy Veteran where he spent most of his career in California and Asia, he previously worked at the Philadelphia Navy Ship Yard. Jim was active with the SJSC and enjoyed vacationing in Aruba. He loved his family and he enjoyed having fun with nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Lillian Baker, siblings Francis, Robert, Allan, Vernon, Charles Jr., Janie and Dorothy. Survivors: Beloved husband of Karen Baker, loving brother of Kenny Baker and Charlotte Linzey, dear stepfather of Joseph Parkes and Elizabeth Aitken and grandfather of 8 and many nieces and nephews.
