Obituary of Susan M. Douthart

Susan M. Douthart age 65 of Newtown Square passed away on October 16, 2016 at home. Susan was born in Philadelphia and raised in Folcroft, PA; she was the daughter of the late Duane and Dorothy Douthart. Susan graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1968. Early in Susan's career she worked for the Franklin Mint then moved on to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed the healthcare field very much and later took a position with Siemens as a computer trainer for hospital based software. Susan also held positions with McKessson and Vertex; where she ultimately retired in 2012. Susan was a member of the County Corvette Association and the Liberty Region Corvette Club. She enjoyed her ladies dominos club, the Phillies, the Blue Rocks, sweets, and spending time with her family and friends. Her laughter, energy, companionship, and the many birthday, anniversary, holiday, and everyday cards she mailed will be missed. Susan is survived by her beloved partner in life Gary Versari, her loving sister Beverly (Kenneth) Knight, her brother Robert Douthart, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Friday October 21, 2016, at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA 19036. Friends and Family are invited to gather at the funeral home starting at 10 am. Burial will take place at the Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill immediately following the 11 am service.
