Helen Mae Butler (nee Perney) of Aldan, Pa joined our Lord on September 14, 2016 at Westgate Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore C. Butler earlier this year. Their marriage of 69 years was blessed with 7 children who will remember her beautiful life and will cherish her memory. Helen is survived by Daughters Nancy (George) Wressig, Barbara Warren, Janice Taylor (Gene, deceased) and Sharlene (Michael) Geary, and her Sons, Theodore (Nancy) Butler Jr, Mark (Bernadette) Butler, and Charles (Elizabeth) Butler, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Helen graduated from John Bartram High School Class of 1944. She volunteered at Thomas G. Morton Elementary School in Southwest Philadelphia and worked at Mellon Bank. She served the Lord faithfully and was a deacon at the Woodland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Southwest Philadelphia. After Woodland Avenue Presbyterian closed, she was warmly embraced by her new spiritual family at Middletown Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed taking part in many of the churches activities. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, singing and collecting. Funeral Service: Thursday September 22, 2016 at Middletown Presbyterian Church 273 Old Middletown Rd.
