Obituary of Denise L. Spina

Denise L. Spina, of Southwest Philadelphia, age 49, passed on October 27, 2010, of a massive stroke at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Much loved and loving mother of Louis Spina. Cherished daughter of Virgina Sandy and the late John Cipolloni. Precious grandmother of Jada Rae Spina. Dearest sister of Jeanne Balshem (Paul) and John Cipolloni. Treasured aunt of Jonathan, Natalie and Joshua Balshem, Aubrey and Danae Cipolloni, Christian Regalbuto, Celeste Barbadora and Steff Spina. Long time companion of Fred Kulick and devoted caretaker of Walt Kulick. Denise is also survived and loved by many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. Viewing will be held Monday Eve., November 1, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M., Service 8 P.M. at McCAUSLAND-GARRITY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 202 South Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Tuesday November 2nd at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated by the family to Denise Spina's Memorial Fund, c/o Beneficial Bank, 1862 Delmar Drive, Folcroft, PA 19032. Denise was fun loving, was an accomplished dancer and loved to make others laugh. Although God did not give us the miracle of preserving her life, we have already seen a miracle through Denise's death. She is a hero who donated her organs and has already saved a life through her death, with her heart being transplanted into one who was in need. We look forward to hearing of many more miracles through Denise's life. Our darling Denise, you will be sadly missed and will forever live in our hearts.
