Obituary of Dorothy L. Travers

Dorothy L. Travers (nee White) age 71 of Media formerly of Norwood passed away on April 17, 2016 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Wilmington DE., on December 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Wright White. She graduated in 1962 from De La Warr High School, Wilmington DE. Dorothy and her husband owned and operated their family business, "The Best of Both Worlds", throughout Delaware and Montgomery Counties. They opened their first store at the Village Mall in Morton, PA in January of 1983. She continued to work until she closed the business at the Power House in Collegeville, PA after the death of her husband in 2009 when she retired. Dorothy also worked at McCrory's in Wilmington DE as a store clerk, Bell Telephone as an operator and the Delaware County Intermediate Unit where she did Data Entry. She is predeceased by her husband John Edward Travers Jr., her sister Patricia Carol Trask and son in law Mason R. Bendell. Survivors: Loving mother of Lorie A. (Richard) Brodecki, Marney L. Bendell and John E. (Kelli Cochran) Travers III, cherished grandmother of her stars Katie A. Brodecki, Stephen C. Brodecki, Mollie E. Travers and Tyler R. Bendell.
