Joseph C. Bollinger (9/10/32-4/15-16)
Joseph C. Bollinger age 83, of Prospect Park, passed away on April 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for his patience and kind personality. He was a veteran who served in the Air Force. He was a retiree from Scott Foam in Eddystone. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing cards. His talent for woodwork will be appreciated through the pieces he left behind. Western movies were his favorite. He often enjoyed shrimp scampi at the local Trieste. He also enjoyed breakfast at the Gateway Diner. His wife, Jacqueline and him spent many days at their river house in Perryville, MD. He was often spotted swimming in the Northeast River. He also enjoyed visiting and feeding animals at his niece Cheryl's zoo in Rising Sun, MD.
His high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jacqueline L. Bollinger, left the world less than 24 hours after him. They met at Sharon Hill High School where they graduated a year apart. They were married for 62 years. They left the family with a true love story. They took until death do us part literally. The family has peace knowing they are together.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents: Chester and Ada (Krider) Bollinger, his siblings: Bud, Warren, Sarah, and John.
Joseph is survived by his loving sons Joseph of West Grove and his wife Terri and Steven of Perryville. His beloved grandchildren: Melinda, Joseph, Andrew, Courtney and Connor and his great grandchildren Lydia, Ariel and Asa. He is also survived by his sister, Jean and brother-in-law Jack, sister-in-law Trudy and Lynda, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The American Lung Association and/or Taylor Hospice. There will be no services as per his wishes.
