Eleanor Doris Wiser age 81 of Swarthmore passed away on March 25, 2016 at Taylor Hospice. Eleanor was born on July 27, 1934 in Ridley Park. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hammond residing primarily in Folcroft. She attended Sharon Hill High School . She previously worked for Acme Markets where she met her husband and enjoyed a marriage of 35 years to William Wiser. She was later employed with the Delaware County Court House as a Court Crier serving both the Honorable Joseph F. Battle and Honorable Judge Robert C. Wright. Eleanor was a great friend to many including those she only met once. She had many talents, including wonderful piano playing, creating beautiful afghans, and a keen sense of American politics. A devoted mother and grandmother, what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and fully supported all their accomplishments. She was predeceased by her husband William Wiser, her brother George Hammond and her sister Sandy Shupard. Survivors: loving mother of Mary (Michael) Furst and Rochelle (Richard) Schatzman, cherished grandmother of Sarah and Joseph Schatzman and Brittany and Kevin Furst, many loving relatives and life-long, numerous friends.
