James Joseph Dunleavy (aka "Big Guy"), 19332016 died on February 16, 2016 in Sharon Hill, Pa in the home he shared with his loving wife Marie (nee Klein). Formerly from Southwest Philadelphia he graduated from West Catholic High School and attended St. Joseph's College. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army and worked at General Electric for 41 years. He was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Spirit Parish in Sharon Hill. After retiring he enjoyed being a safety guard and a turnkey at Sharon Hill and Collingdale Police Departments. Big Guy was known and loved by all for his truly great, one of a kind and larger than life personality, deep devotion to his family and love of travel. A fine afternoon for Jim was relaxing in his chair with a bowl of vanilla ice cream watching his Phillies play. He single handedly was responsible for the large circulation of $2 bills in Delaware County, which he generously gave to friends and family frequently. Jim was predeceased by parents John and Margaret (Mc Guinness) and sister Mary McGee. Survived by his bride of 50 golden years Marie (Klein) and children Joan Davies (Bob), John (Theresa), James (Ruth) and nine adoring grandchildren: Heidi, Brianna, Julie, Miranda, Jacquelyn, Jimbo, Michael, Luke, Colton and brother Cornelius (Patricia). Funeral Mass: 10:30am Friday at St George Church, Lamont Ave. Glenolden, PA. 19036 Visitation: 9-10:15am at the church Inurnment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
