Obituary of Joseph M. Donohue

Joseph Michael Donohue age 21 of Swarthmore passed away suddenly at home on February 11, 2016. Upon graduation from Ridley High School in June of 2012, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Combat Veteran of the Afghanistan War and a recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge, among many other awards, having served with the 101st Airborne Division, Task Force Currahee as part of the ISAF in 2013. He was currently serving with the Pennsylvania National Guard, Bravo Co. 1-111th Infantry Battalion. He was known for his big smile, being kind hearted and a talented artist who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and comrades.
He is predeceased by his grandfathers James C. Donohue Jr. and Martin J. Delaney Jr.
Survivors; Beloved son of Michael and JoAnn Donohue, loving brother of Matthew (Jillian) Donohue. Cherished grandson of Henrietta A. Donohue and Judith J. Delaney, dear Godson of Catherine and Steven Willoughby and many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Funeral Mass: 11am Tues. at Notre Dame de Lourdes, 950 Fairview Rd. Swarthmore, PA. 19081.
Viewing: 6-9pm Monday at McCausland Garrity Marchesani, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 and 9:45-10:45am on Tuesday at Notre Dame de Lourdes
