Obituary of Melissa A. Thomas

MELISSA ANN THOMAS (November 11 1954-Feb 8 2016) On behalf of the Volz & Thomas family. We sadly inform friends and family that "Missy" passed away on Monday February 8th in the afternoon while on hospice care. Although never married Missy resided in Colwyn, PA over the last 30+ years and was vital part of the Volz family in helping raise/care for her best friend, Rita Lynn Volz's, four children through the childhood years. She will always be remembered through some of her favorite shows i.e. "The Golden Girls," "Jake and the Fat Man," and "Murder She Wrote." Also her favorite Thrillers such as Stephen King's "IT." Missy was an avid book reader and loved listening to Rod Stewart. The fondest memories were of the pool days at Colwyn Swim Club, day trips to Atlantic City and the beach and good ol' front yard, a lawn chair, and an ice cold beverage. She will be truly missed and your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. The family will be holding a private memorial gathering. God Bless
