William E. Mercer "Bill" age 87 of Glenolden passed away on January 31, 2016 at home.
A US Navy veteran and served during WW II and received the theater ribbon and Victory Medal. Bill retired in 1995 from Boeing and was a member of UAW Local # 1069. He also was a member of the West End Boat Club and the Herbert W. Best Post 928. He enjoyed the shore.
Survivors: Beloved husband of Ruth Mercer, father of Kathy Tagliaferri, Nancy McInherney and Sandi Ross, Stepfather of Susan Sammartino, grandfather of Shelia, Jack and Zachary and Chase.
Memorial Service: Fri., 8pm, McCausland Garrity Marchesani, 343 S. Chester Pk., Glenolden, PA. 19036.
Visitation: Fri. 6-8pm at the funeral home
Burial: Private
