Obituary of Claire M. Bateman

Bateman, Claire M. (nee Tinney) age 84 life long resident of Glenolden passed away on October 9, 2010 at Shore Memorial Hospital. She was born in Chester, Pa. She worked for Sun Oil Company for 10 years and was also a Volunteer at Taylor Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church since 1961 where she was a 45year member of the church choir and a member of the Sarah Circle. She summered for many years in Ocean City, NJ and was an avid Phillies Fan. She was married in 1961 to the late Richard E. Bateman who passed away in 2002. Mrs. Bateman is survived by her sister Joan (nee Tinney) and Lawrence Kaufmann of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. and is predeceased by a sister Jean (nee Tinney) Kohl. She is also survived by a niece Lisa Kohl-Arabea of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and a nephew William D. Kohl of Harrisburg, Pa. and her dear friends Pat and Jack Kohl of Springfield, Pa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 AM in the Norwood United Methodist Church, 315 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa. 19074.
