Alexander John (Al or Jack) Lilly Jr. 89 of Glenolden passed away at home on January 14th, 2016. Mr. Lilly was born and raised in Essington, PA, and lived in Glenolden with his wife and family for the past sixty-six years. He was a 1944 graduate of Eddystone High School, and was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran serving as a tank driver, radio operator and company clerk in Okinawa and Korea. After the service, he worked for the Scott Paper Company in the Chester paper mill, retiring after forty years. He was a member of The American Legion and VFW. His loves were God, his wife and family, fishing, wood working, and all things mechanical. Mr. Lilly was predeceased by his parents A. John Sr. and Zelma Lilly, his sister Yvonne Lilly Osler, and his daughter-in-law Trina Lilly. Mr. Lilly is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise (Adams) Lilly. Together they raised four children Joyce (Jack) Crozier, John (Gail) Lilly, James (Kathy) Lilly, and Jeffrey Lilly, all having a strong Christian faith. They have nine Grandchildren, and thirteen Great-Grandchildren. Also, care givers Lisa, Alexis, Jayson, Kayla, Lori, and Quetta. He frequently recounted all his life's blessings, and was quick to say how fortunate he was to have married the "Right Woman". Jack/Dad/Grand-pop was loved and will be missed by his wife, children, family and friends, but all are comforted to know he is now with the Lord after living a truly wonderful life.
