Joseph C. White Jr. age 82 a longtime resident of Sharon Hill passed away on October 27, 2015. A graduate of John Bartram High School, Joe was a proud U.S Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired in 1995 from Kmart Distribution Center after 21 years and formerly worked at GE, Westinghouse and Boeing. He was a former member of the Holy Spirit Fathers Club, Boy Scout Troop 222, Sharon Hill Rambler Association, Sharon Hill Fourth of July Committee and previously served as Vice President of the Sharon Hill Borough Council for 10 years. He was a former coach for the Sharon Hill Athletics Association and Track and Field coach for the Special Olympics. He was a member of Sharon Hill and Darby #1 Fire Companies and is a member of the American Legion Murray Stuart Post #566. An accomplished ball player, Joe was passionate about woodworking and loved to watch and support local sports teams. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph C. and Helen Louise Evans White and his sister Kaye Allen. Survivors: Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Gardiner) White, Loving father of Patricia (Bob) Perago and Joseph C.(Kiera) White III, cherished grandfather of Athena Perago and Emily White and great grandfather of Tegan White, dear brother of Helen Westermann, many nieces and nephews.
