Obituary of Frank J. Sodano

Frank J. Sodano age 84 of South Philadelphia passed away on May 11, 2015. Frank was a member of the 1948 Olympic Boxing Team. He was a professional Boxer until 1955 where he held the title contender for the lightweight championship of the world. In 2002 he was elected into the South Philadelphia High School Hall of Fame. He is predeceased by his parents Nicola and Ida Sodano and his siblings Nicholas, Margie, Josephine and Ida. Survivors: Proud father of his 8 successful children, Frank (Carol) Sodano, Dorinda (Bob) Hevener, Rev. Thomas Sodano, Angelina (Joseph) Miller, Anthony(Sabrina) Sodano, Joseph ( Diane) Sodano, Michael (Rita)Sodano, Bernadette(Toby) Morello and their mother Matilda Sodano, loving grandfather of 21 and great grandfather of 8, dear brother of Tony DeVito, Rosemarie Colaprete, Nazerene Sodano and Angelina Sanchez. Funeral Mass: 11am, Friday at St Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, PA. 19023, Viewing: 9-11am Friday in the church. Burial: Will take place privately at Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Bally, Pa.
