Obituary of Ralph H. Orr

Ralph H. Orr, age 77 of Colwyn passed away on August 28, 2010 at Little Flower Manor. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, He attended John Bartram High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Orr retired after 38 years from the Philadelphia Gas Work as a service representative. He was a representative and former Treasure of PGW employee's union and a member of the retired employee's association of PGW. He was longtime member of Colwyn Borough Council serving several years as President and Vice President and a longtime chairman of the public safety committee; he was also a member of the Colwyn Police Pension Board. He was a lifetime member of Colwyn Fire Company #1 where he served several years as president and a member of the board of directors. He was also a lifetime member of Darby Fire Patrol #2 and a member of Delaware County Fireman's Association. He was a recipient of the community service award presented by the four Chaplains Assoc. for all his dedicated service to the community organizations. Beloved Husband of 56 years to Paulene (Nee Casaccio) Orr. Loving Father of Ralph (Vincent Root) Orr and Paulann (Mark) Bellino. Cherished Grandfather of Gabriella, Nicolina, Alessandra Bellino. Loving Brother of Robert Orr, Betty Lou Quigley and the late Andrew Orr and Eleanor Caffrey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Andrew and Hattie Orr.
