Obituary of Louis Flatau

Louis Flatau, Jr.,92, of Media, devoted father of Kenneth L. (Virginia) and Melinda K. (Lawrence Sr.) Paolella. Loving grandfather to Michele (Matthew) Hengey, Justin Flatau, Lorenzo (Jennifer) Paolella Jr, Jessica (David) Boch, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dear friend Peter Baylor. He is predeceased by his wife C. Kathryn Flatau nee Chamblin and four brothers. He was a Corporal in the US Army during WWII, serving with the Battery D, 475th Anti-Aircraft Artillery in New Caledonia from 1943-1945. Lou worked for Ludwig Honald in Folcroft retiring in 1985 and then worked for Piasecki Aircraft retiring from there in 2007 at the age of 84. He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 417 in Collingdale and a 50 year member of The Masonic Lodge of Prospect Park, Lodge No. 578. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing and funeral on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036, where a service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Masonic Lodge of Prospect Park.
