Obituary of John G. Wenzel

John G. Wenzel age 92 of Elizabethtown formerly of Delaware County passed away on Aug 13, 2010 at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown. Born and raised in Tamaqua, he graduated from Tamaqua High School Class of 1935. A US Army Veteran serving in WWII, Mr. Wenzel retired in 1980 from the US Postal Service where he was a clerk in the Media/Swarthmore office. He was a Past Master and member of F&AM Richmond Lodge # 230. He was also a member of LuLu Temple, Shiners and of the Order of Ancient Accepted Scottish rite of Philadelphia. A longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Folcroft, he enjoyed spending time with his family, singing in choirs and traveling. Survivors: Wife Angelina Wenzel of Elizabethtown. Step daughters: Monica Pyewell of Nottingham and Angela Farrell of Folsom. Step Son: John Phillips of Holmes Also survived by grandchildren.
