Obituary of Ruth V. Raimo

Ruth V. Raimo (Edmondson), 90, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2015 after a brief illness. Predeceased by both her husband of 64 years, John A. Raimo, and oldest grandson, Neil, she lived most of her adult life in Glenolden, PA. Ruth was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, the youngest of 10 children, and met John at a USO dance in Newport News, VA. A devoted mother, Ruth was also a talented painter and painting was her passion. She produced beautiful abstract art and scenic paintings particularly from the Southwest. She took classes at Fleisher Art Memorial and over the years won many awards at local art shows. Ruth had taught painting at School House Senior Center and was a past member of the Board of Directors. She was a past member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband.
