Dorothy A. Rippel (nee Tartala), 87, longtime resident of Sharon Hill, passed away on November 4, 2014, at Plush Mills Senior Living in Wallingford, surrounded by her family. Born and raised in southwest Philadelphia. Graduate of John Bartram High School and West Chester State Teachers College. Former teacher at Harris Elementary School in Collingdale and substitute teacher in the Southeast Delco School District. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry C. Rippel, in 2004. Survivors: Dearly loved mother of Linda (John) Bird of Broomall and Richard (Tina) Rippel of Sharon Hill. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Corey) Baumann and David Bird and great-grandmother of Bryn Elizabeth Baumann, born in June. Dear sister of James V. (June) Tartala, Jr., of Petersburg, NJ, and Robert J. (Nancy) Tartala of Sharon Hill. Funeral Service: 10AM, Monday at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036 Visitation: 6-8PM Sunday and 9-10AM Monday at the funeral home Burial: Valley Forge Memorial Gardens Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Harry C.
