Obituary of Daniel G. Jackson

Daniel "Dan" G. Jackson, age 78, of Glenolden, formerly of Upper Darby, passed away on October 27, 2014. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Upper Darby, Dan graduated in 1953 from Upper Darby High School. He retired after 35 years as a truck driver for Acme Markets. A devoted family man, Dan enjoyed Polka dancing and trips to Las Vegas with his wife, Joan, attending car shows, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. Survivors: Beloved husband of 57 years of Joan M. Jackson, loving father of Catherine J. Fox and Daniel A. (Mary Beth) Jackson, cherished Pop-pop of Christine J. (Preston) Hart, Daniel J. and Joel G. Jackson, great grandfather of Everett Daniel Hart, dear brother of Kathleen (Edward, dec.)Finley, uncle of Renee Finley and Karen (Michael) Repino and great grand uncle of Matthew Repino. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Kathryn Jackson and his sister Mary (James) Smith. Funeral Mass: Friday, 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Dr.. Secane, PA. 19018.
