Obituary of Richard J. Miller

Richard J. Miller 93, of Williamstown, NJ formerly of Glenolden, passed away on April 11, 2014. Richard and his wife Elizabeth retired in Long Beach Island where they enjoyed the shore life.
Richard was born and raised in the Glenolden Borough part of Delaware County. He was a graduate of the Glen-Nor High School, class of 1939. In 2005 he was inducted into the "Hall of Fame".
As a young man, Richard served his country in the Army Air Corp as a Technical Sgt. during WWII from 1942 to 1946. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.
He worked for Glenolden Borough for 20 years including his service as Mayor of Glenolden from 1970-1974. He is a member of the American Legion Murray Stuart Post #566 for 65 years.
Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth C. Miller, brothers Arthur and Robert Miller and sister Elizabeth Orner.
Survivors: Loving father of James (Millie) McCabe, Charles (Dolores) McCabe, Richard (Kathleen) Miller, Deborah Miller and Rebecca (Buddy)Picardi.
