Obituary of George W. Hammond

George W. Hammond 84 a longtime resident of Sharon Hill went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2014. George served his country for 20 years in the U.S Navy Reserves. He was devoted to his family and his faith and was a beloved longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church since the 8th grade. He loved to sing and was a train buff. He taught sheet metal for 23 years at Folcroft Vo-Tech and Mastbaum.
Predeceased by his daughter Holly Sue Hammond, sister Sylvia "Sandy" Shupard and parents James and Mary Hammond.
Survivors: Beloved wife Hazel M. Hammond (nee Trexler), loving daughter Heather L. Hammond, dear sister Eleanor Wiser and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: Tues. 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, 1500 Glen Ave. Folcroft PA. 19032.
Viewing: Mon. 7-9 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA. 19036 and Tues. 10-11am at the church listed above.
Burial: Wed. 1PM at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
