Hand on My Heart
By Helen T Belcher
Hand on my heart, I love you.
Hand on my heart, it's true.
But now my heart is broken,
I have lost my wonderful you.
Over the years you have proved to me
How much you loved me too,
By being the greatest husband and dad.
How do I live without you?
You never said an unkind word,
An example to us all.
You were good, and kind, and generous,
Your family will recall.
The love you've given all of us
Will linger in our hearts,
And somehow we'll go on living
Although we are apart.
Someday I will be with you,
Together until the end.
I'll hold you deep within my heart
Until we meet again.
Hand on my heart, I will never stop loving you.
