Obituary of Ernest J. Barci

Ernest John Barci-Affectionately known by many as "Ernie", "Mr. B", "Pop" and "Pappa" was born on March 4, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ernie was one of four children born to the late Ernest Edward Barci and Jennie Scarcelle Barci. As a child Ernie resided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended Mater Dela Rosa School. He later met his beloved wife Linda Marie Finsel. They united their lives together in marriage on July 24, 1965 and were blessed with four beautiful children. Ernie served our country for three years in the United States Army including a one year tour of Viet Nam. He dedicated many years of work at Crown, Cork and Seal, Co. With Ernie's love of cars he became a talented mechanic who was always willing to help others when in need, offering his services anytime. He later resided in Delaware County, Pennsylvania in the care his Daughter Christina, Son-in-Law Anthony and other loving family members. In 2010 Ernie gave his life to Christ and later became a part of the Community Church of Folsom Family where he continued to grow in his faith. He enjoyed attending various small groups within the congregation and loved Sunday Worship time. On January 31, 2014, Ernie departed this life after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He will be remembered for his love of his family and how he loved Sunday Spaghetti Dinners and camping with his family and friends. He will also be remembered for his love of his model cars, for Pinochle and for his famous line "What's Trump?". He will be cherished in memory by his loving wife, Linda, four children, John Barci, Christina Schiavone, Daniel Barci,and Brian Barci along with Brian's beloved fiance Marjorie Dutra; Son-in-law Anthony Schiavone; Three brothers Anthony Barci, Thomas Barci, and John Barci; Sister in Laws Judy Barci and Linda Barci. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his loving grandchildren and step-grandchildren Jeffrey Schreiber, Matthew Schreiber, Joseph Mayer, Amber Mayer-Barci, Anthony Barci, Hayley Barci, Joshua Schiavone, Jason Schiavone, Anthony Schiavone, Blue Urquhart and Mae Urquhart; Great grandson Jacob Thomas Mayer; many nieces and nephews, his loving church family, many other relatives and friends.
