Obituary of John J. Spicer

John J. Spicer Sr. "Jack" age 82 a longtime resident of Collingdale passed away on October 17, 2013. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Collingdale, John graduated Collingdale High School Class of 1949 where he was active with the Alumni Association. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. John retired after 46 years as a machinist where he worked for RCA, GE and Lockheed Martin. He enjoyed his community where he served as President of the 4th of July Committee for Collingdale, Board member of Collingdale Swim Club and active with St. Joseph Church and formerly with the church carnivals. He was an avid golfing fan, talented painter and Philadelphia Sports fan. Survivors: Beloved Husband of 49 years of Dolores K. Spicer Loving father of John (Colleen) Spicer, Jr., Daniel Spicer, Patrick Spicer, Jacquelyn (Greg) Hughes and Elyssa (Dan) Lazzari. Cherished grandfather of Mary, Katie, Elizabeth, Abby, Johanna and Danny. Funeral Mass: Tues. 11AM at St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, PA. 19023.
