Obituary of Donald E. McGuoirk

Donald E. McGuoirk, age 51 of Virginia Beach, Va. died on April 30, 2010 where he resided in Chesapeake, VA. Born in Darby, He resided in Folcroft, PA until he moved to Virginia Beach at the age of 15. He graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School and Old Dominion University. He was a member of KAPPA ALPHA Fraternity where he was a former #1. He worked in outside sales his whole life and most recently for BOC Gases. He was a avid ODU Monarch's and Philadelphia Sports Fan Beloved Son of the late Franklin and Dolores (Ryder) McGuoirk. Loving brother of Daniel, Timothy (Sun), John (Susan) McGuoirk and Pat (Charles) Dougherty and the late Frank McGuoirk. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime girlfriend and caregiver Deana Mondy. He was loved by many friends and Fraternity Brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Sat. May 8, at 11AM at Holy Spirit Church, 1028 School St. Sharon Hill, Pa 19079 Viewing 9:30-11AM in the church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ODU Athletic Dept, 4417 Monarch Way, Norfolk, VA. 23529-0201. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15,2010 at 2PM at St. Pius Church, Norfolk, VA.
