Obituary of Daniel C. O'Dell

Daniel C. O'Dell "Dan" age 78 of Folcroft passed away on April 29, 2010. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he graduated St. Thomas Moore High School in 1950. Mr. O'Dell was a US Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked several jobs as a chef before working for Acme Markets retiring in 1998. Mr. O'Dell was a member of Durning String Band for over 50 years where he played the banjo. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and his being with his friends at Sam's Saloon and Restaurant. He was an avid sports fan especially football, baseball and golfing. Loving brother of Margaret "Peggy" (Joe) Verna. Loving Uncle of Danielle, Christine, Nicole and Vincent Loving Companion of Charlotte McGinnis Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thurs. May 6 at 10:00AM at St. Gabriel's Church, 233 Mohawk Ave. Norwood, PA. 19074. Viewing, Wed. 7-9PM at McCausland-Garrity Funeral Home, 202 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 and Thurs. 9-10AM in the church. Burial SS.
